About me
I am the inaugural Dr John C Taylor Professor of Innovation at the University of Cambridge, Head of the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), Head of the IfM’s Centre for Technology Management (CTM), and a Fellow of Churchill College. My research, teaching, and engagement and outreach activities are focused on the links between manufacturing, innovation, and skills.

Other posts I hold include: member of the boards of IfM Education and Consultancy Services Ltd and St John’s Innovation Centre Ltd, Visiting Professor at Doshisha University in Japan, and Associate of the University of Cambridge Centre for Business Research. I am also a member of various panels and committees including the IET's Innovation and Emerging Technologies Policy Panel, the UK Made Smarter Commission’s Expert Panel, the UK National Strategy for Additive Manufacturing Steering Group, and the Academic Committee of the Global Consortium on Intelligent Manufacturing.

I am also Chair of Trustees for Young People's Mental Health.
